murder party

so scott and i decided to host a "murder party", if you haven't been to one they are quite fun. for those of you who haven't let me briefly clue you in, everyone dresses up as a different character. there is a little background given and then you go through different stages of the game trying to figure out who is the murderer, not even the murderer knows that it is them. for this paticular murder it turned out to be me, but in fact it was this guy i was seeing that somehow switched lives with me and i was the one who had been murdered. it was really weird to play all through the game only to find out i had been dead the whole time.these are our awesome neighbors who came to play along, from left to right: james & crystalynn mellor, us, spencer & jennilyn christian and marcellus & holly barrus
scott is a monster made up of all different parts that his creator was able to find and put together, that's right, he is wearing a skirt and tights, pretty sexy huh?! i was a vampire disguised as a gypsy

this is me and my magic ball, anyone need their fortune read?

the 411 on the rogers' kids

carter a.k.a "bubbies" or "bubbas"

carter is my angel baby, which is fitting because when he was born my mother in law gave me the "angel baby" figurine by willow tree. he has been such a wonderful addition to our family. i can always count on him to cheer me up, epecially when he is kind enough to honor me with a kiss, which is always open mouthed. like his older brother and sister he loves his binky and when he gets upset it is his weapon of choice. he is very smart and already you can see his little mind working as he flips the lights on and off. he is very busy and even though i have to put all my stools up to keep him off the counters he will find another way. i think he learned to climb before he learned to walk, thus the perfect monkey for halloween.

chandler a.k.a. "chan" or "chan-man"

chan is my cool dude. he already dresses himself very well for a four year old and quite often he insists i put gel in his hair. when i say no he attempts it himself and usually has a little comb over action going on. he is also very observant. i will never forget the day i changed my shoes mid-day, when he saw me he asked why i changed my shoes, it blew my mind. he always comments on my new hair styles and tells me how pretty i am. he is such a sweet boy! this summer he played soccer and was one of the best players on his team. in one game he scored 6 of their 15 goals, i was so proud. he loves to help dad with any project he has, especially the one's involving tools.

isabel a.k.a. "bel" or "punkin"

isabel is my "mini me". except for a few minor differences she reminds me a lot of myself. she is very much an older sister in both the good sense and the not so good. she loves to sing and dance but is nervous to perform in front of people she can see (at her piano recital last year she was extremely nervous because she could see everyone. i mentioned to her that she had no trouble at her dance performances but she said it was because the room was dark and she could not see the audience). she also loves bugs and learning. one of her favorite things to do is sit with dad and watch the discovery channel and tlc. she is quite the social butterfly which is one of those qualities we do not share. she makes friends with everyone she meets. she is my little princess in every sense of the word! desiree a.k.a. "des" or "desi"

desiree is our little sweetheart. she has such a kind heart and a sweet spirit. she loves music and dancing. she says that someday she would like to teach dance and is already on her way as she has taught many of the girls in the neighborhood. kids flock to her and she befriends them all. she is such a great big sister and the kids absolutely adore her!

mama's little soccer player

new addition

batman (named by my adorable nephew sylus) is the newest addition to our family. isn't he cute?!

halloween

halloween was great this year. scott helped the kids carve pumpkins and as you can see they were all smiles. even carter got in on the fun by throwing pumpkin guts at everyone!
isabel decided to be a vampire because of all the hype with the new twilight movie coming out, chan is a huge spiderman fan and of course my monkey boy made a perfect monkey

mom and dad came out for all the fun
scott wore all black and a scary mask, i was a witch, no costume needed!

look at all that candy

carter had a blast trick or treating, most of his candy didn't even make it into his bag
